Emergency Response
Each year, between 360,000 and 480,000 older adults sustain fall-related fractures. Over 95% of hip fractures are caused by falls. Only 40%-60% of older adults will regain their pre-fracture mobility status within 6 months following a hip fracture, and less than 50% will regain their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) status. Summit Home Health & Hospice offers an emergency response system from Philips Lifeline that can make a significant difference in a patients feelings of personal safety and independence; this can support them in engaging with normal daily activity which helps to increase strength, normalize muscle tone and improve balance.
